COMMUNITY HEALTH & DEVELOPMENT

 

Community health deals with the health of the entire population and disease prevention. Through a community diagnosis, preventable or controllable diseases are identified and suitable programs can then be organized.  

 

MSI's community health program aims at serving the poor, raising their awareness of healthcare, training them to be self-reliant in their own health needs, and improving their overall living standards.

 

The program also works towards providing seamless continuity of service from in-patient to community care.

 

Current Projects:

• Medical and nursing staff training 

• Vaccination program for children

• TB project

• Safe water project

• School health project

• Biogas toilet project

• Education and promotion of AIDS prevention

• Leprosy work

• Annual health fair in villages and county hospitals.

• Sponsorship of village doctor internships in various hospitals

• Rehabilitation projects (for autism, cerebral palsy, strokes, burns and psychiatric)
